Next thing about digital literacy is media. Media is everywhere and it will be great to teach our students about the media literacy. Young children are also using media and spend a lot time on it. As teachers we want the best for our students. I believe that teaching media will be entertaining for the students and the students will be more encourage to want to learn other than just books and paper. We don't always want to bored our students with the same lecture and having them open those books and having them write down notes because I know when I was in high school we get tired of writing a lot so therefore media would be great and they will be able to understand truth of the information that is given.
The third thing that caught my attention in this assignment was communicating and collaborating. I think that including technology in our classroom our students will be more motivated to learn together in a group. The students will be able to collaborate more with technology and they will be able to come up with great ideas. Letting our students use technology will help our students to be more engage and more involve. I found a video about Naturally smart where it helps students to be more collaborating and being to work together and learn together a different times and places.
In conclusion media is everywhere, television, social media, internet etc. Being able to teach our students about media literacy will help the students later on when they have to research a specific topic and need to find some kind of information. They will be able to find the bias and will be able to tell the lies. We want to prepare our students for the future when they become more independent and this is a way by being able to teach them about media literacy. Media has the benefits of having them to be able to have skills like critical thinking, being able to understand a media message and being able to identify the scenes of a story.
